MICHAEL BRENNAN, PETA CLANCY, JUAN FORD,ANNE KUCERA, NATALIE RYAN & ANDRES URIBE-HIDALGOcurated by Michael Brennan
21 October to 7 November, 2009
Skin Show explores the function of – and the space occupied by – boundaries, surfaces and facades. 6 artists working with a variety of media, stretch, perforate and dissolve our typical understanding of the space skin occupies, positing it as a kind of ‘in-between space’ – a zone of conflict – and asking the question, “at what point to ‘I’ end and my surroundings begin?” Impression, puncture, decay and superimposition each function to challenge this delineation – challenging our preconceptions and blurring the boundary between inside and out.
Juan Ford & Natalie Ryan are represented by Dianne Tanzer Gallery, Melbourne.

Shifted will provide staffing of the gallery for the duration of the exhibition and will also provide guidance and assistance with the installation of exhibitions where they deem it is appropriate or necessary. While Shifted recognises that the manner in which an exhibition is installed can be as important to the reception of the work as the work itself, Shifted reserves the right to make decisions and have final input with regard to the way in which an exhibition is installed. This is simply to ensure that a professional standard is maintained and such input should rarely be required.

Welcome to WordPress Recovery.

We will be setting up this wordpress blog and setting up the content from the old site shifted.net.au , which has some interesting information on the site which shows what needs to be done for applying to be listed within the gallery. We saw this as interesting information that can be left on the web and be cited on a how to.

If you are the previous owner of the domain please don’t hesitate to contact us about getting the full site restored.

The companies which are helping us restore the interesting content are www.balancetransfercreditcards.com.au a balance transfer comparison site, www.comparecreditcards.com.au a complete listing of credit cards and calculators, www.lowratecreditcards.com.au a comparison site just focusing on low rate cards and www.debtconsolidation.com.au a debt consolidation service provider on everything about lowering your monthly debt balance.
